First Impressions: Juuou Mujin no Fafnir

What I was expecting: Another haremesque show, but with dragons. It could be good.

How it really was: This season’s harems seem to really love the silver haired girls…

I like how the dragons look and enjoyed this lot more than Absolute Duo, but it’s still fairly generic…..yea I guess that’s it. I don’t really know what to say about the show. When the D girls use their D power their clothing looks transparent and then slowly becomes normal again. If all they are doing is calling forth a weapon, I don’t really get why their clothes need to do this. It’s awkward to look at.

I think the idea that the girls (and the lone guy) can potentially become dragons is an interesting one. I just don’t know how I feel about it being revealed so early. I think it would have been a pretty crazy twist if during a fight one of the girls becomes a dragon, which causes the other students to freak out because now they have to kill their friend.

With this twist being revealed now, it kind of makes me feel like the show will focus more on the harem aspect of the show and not the potentially psychological factor that I would love to see.

Overall: I’m going to give this another episode or two. I’m hoping it surprises me and ends up being good, but I don’t really have much hope for that.
