Day 29 – An Anime You Wished was Real

This has to be the easiest question in this challenge thus far. I mean, it’s obvious what the answer would be.

Say what you want about other animes, but in a lot of the ones that I like I’d probably be the first to die. I don’t want to be in a world like that, I just want to watch it on my computer screen.

But in Pokemon, you have Ash Ketchum, a 10 year old kid who leaves his home in order to be the very best….like no one ever was. Could you imagine a 10 year old doing that in today’s society? You’d have to live in a relatively safe environment where the people are trustworthy for anything like to happen. Unfortunately, the world isn’t like that, but it is in Pokemon.

Other than Team Rocket, who are easy to beat, you live in a pretty sweet place. Not only that, Pokemon seems to have a really good environmental record too. So you’d be living in a world where there’s tons of tall grasses for you to spend hours in. A world where the air is fresh and clean, since it hasn’t been tainted by pollution. But the biggest thing this world has over our own is the Pokemon!

Imagine living in a world where you could catch ’em all and go on adventures with incredibly cute, but possibly deadly animals? It would be unreal. I mean, sure there are some that are potentially dangerous, but that’s just want makes them even more awesome. You need a little danger when you live in such a safe society.

And if your Pokemon die, no worries, you can just go Lavender Town and grab yourself a ghost Pokemon. And if you go to school and then realize that the job market is lacking, no worries! You can just become a Pokemon trainer and live the good life.

If the anime was real, I’d grab myself a Snorlax and go to sleep on his stomach while Jigglypuff sings her lullaby. It would be amazing! Best sleep I’d ever have.

If only…
